According to Copyright Law of China, requirements for authorship and acknowledgement are reaffirmed as follows:

1 Significance of authorship and requirement

1.1 Significance of authorship: (1) mark the responsible person of the paper, (2) medical papers are the summary and record of the medical scientific achievement, the product of authors’ painstaking work and creation, as well as the contribution of the author to the medical career, an objective index of social respect and recognition, a deserved honor, and statement of the authors’ copyright. (3) the presentation of author name is convenient for the communication among editors, readers and authors, and mutual discussion and improvement. The author name should be placed beneath the title, and the sequence of authors should be determined before submission, and it can not be changed during the editorial procession. The affiliation, post code should be footnoted at the title page. 

1,2 Requirement of authorship: (1) involved in the topic selection and design, data analysis and explanation, (2) draft and modify the key theory and main content of the paper, (3) check and examine the modification suggestions from the editorial office, publicly reply in the academic field and make the final approve of the paper publication. The authors must comply with the above 3 requirements. Those who are only participated in fund and data collection can not be listed as authors, and neither do those general administrators in scientific group. Those who have substantial contribution to the article may be acknowledged at the end of the paper. At least one author should be designated to be responsible for the main conclusions of the paper.  Among the authors, generally one should be designated as corresponding author, who is can be wholly responsible for the submitted manuscript before contribution. If there is foreign author among the authors, a letter on the publication approval should be attached with the foreign author’s signature. The name, title, telephone number, E-mail of the corresponding author should be footnoted at the title page.

2 Acknowledgement

The acknowledgement means expressing thanks for record, placed at the end of the text and before the references. It should express thanks to those offer substantial help but can not be listed as authors, The words should be agreed by the people who are acknowledged.

Acknowledgement goes to: (1) units, individuals, collaborating units that offer funding for the research, (2) organization and individuals that assist the research work and provide convenience, (3) individuals who assist diagnosis and offer important suggestions, (4) individuals who permit the reprint and quotation of data, graphs, literatures, and assumptions, (3) individuals who make contributions, such as offering technique support, financial and material resource, (6) others who need to be acknowledged.
